Funny! I think my parents must have used the air horn because I have a well-developed startle reflex. But hey, if someone hadn't done it, they wouldn't have needed the manual.

Also, who wakes babies? It takes forever to get them to sleep, so why mess with a good thing?

Is this a "hint" to someone,?,,,:)

Really? I wish I had known that when I had babies!

I don't know much about babies, not really, but it would have never occurred to use an air horn to wake one (or to wake one at all, Susan!) until I saw this. Now I feel like I want to.

Big Paw, I would be most upset if someone woke me up this way. Already I feel enormous contempt for my alarm clock every morning when it shouts WooWooWooo! at me. I guess it really is a hint.

jb: Did you wake your children this way? And how are they now?

I'm not saying I did or didn't, but let's just say they're hearing impaired...

...okay...I just made that up...

True, but the second one would be more exciting.

I like the post you delete.

Second one is definitely more exciting.

I've been doing a lot of deleting lately, for some reason. More deleting than creating, actually. I didn't know that a post was still visible once deleted.

Lisa, Google saves all deleted posts in the Reader format. If you ever really want something deleted from Blogger, you're better off 'editing' the post to eliminate what you don't want saved in perpetuity! Sadly, once you've 'deleted' it, I don't know of any way to retrieve it for editing...I have a couple posts I wish I could have expunged for good!

Interesting... thank you for that information; I had no idea. Fortunately I have only been deleting to create the illusion I don't write drivel, and not to cover up any crimes. So the fact my drivel is still out there isn't as bad as it could be, right? I will definitely remember this for the future.

For what it's worth, I recieve your posts in my Google Reader and have also enjoyed your "drivel" only to click on the hyperlink to your blog and find it gone. I get a chuckle over it :)
